Ich hatte vorher tatsächlich immer wieder Probleme mit Trauermücken und fand deshalb die Idee hinter Elli direkt interessant. Mittlerweile gieße ich nur noch über das Rohr an der Seite, sodass das Wasser von unten in den Topf kommt und die Erde oben trocken bleibt. Bis jetzt funktioniert das bei mir richtig gut.

Ich habe meinen Elli jetzt schon etwas länger in Benutzung und finde vor allem die Bewässerung richtig praktisch. Man füllt das Wasser einfach über das Rohr an der Seite ein und gießt die Pflanze dadurch von unten. Die Erde oben bleibt trocken und bisher hatte ich tatsächlich keine Trauermücken mehr. Meine Pflanze macht sich darin auch super und wächst richtig schön!

Frequently asked questions
How does the watering work?+
Simply fill the tube on the side all the way to the top with water. Elli distributes it from below to wherever your plant needs it, while the soil on top stays dry.
How often do I need to water?+
As a rule, just top up the tube once every 1–2 weeks. That's all it takes.
Can I overwater?+
If there's clearly too much water, hardly any drains anymore. In that case, simply pour the excess back out through the tube and let Elli rest for 3–4 weeks so the plant can take up the water. If the soil on top turns damp, that's your signal to water much less.
Which plants is Elli suitable for?+
Almost every indoor plant enjoys drinking from below. Just take your favourite plant and fill Elli with life.
Do I need special soil?+
In general you can pot your plant straight away. Just pick the right size (Small or Mid) and the soil your plant likes best.
What is Elli made of?+
Elli is 3D-printed from recyclable biopolymer made from renewable raw materials. Made in Germany.
Indoors or outdoors?+
Elli is made for indoor use. As she has no drainage holes, she isn't suited for outdoors.
Where do you ship to?+
At the moment we ship within the EU (including Germany). Countries outside the EU – such as the USA or Switzerland – can't be served just yet.
How long does delivery take?+
Usually 2–3 days. Shipping within Germany is €5.90 – and free from €60 order value.
Can I return my order?+
Yes, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal.
Does Elli help against fungus gnats?+
Because Elli waters from below, the soil on top stays dry. Fungus gnats only lay their eggs in moist soil – if the surface stays dry, they're missing what they need.
